Mamiya/Sekor 200 mm f/3.5 SP → 400 mm f/3.5 equivalent — a $50–80 long telephoto for wildlife at a fraction of native MFT pricing.

MFT bodies with IBIS (OM-1 II, OM-5, G9 II, GH6, GH7) work on M42 lenses if you set the focal length manually in-menu. OM System's Pro Capture and high-resolution shot modes work with any lens, including M42.

Optical quirks: the centre crop pulls the lens's sharpest area into use and crops out the soft corners. The trade-off is the small sensor itself — M42-era ISO 1600 film equivalent on a 1990 Pancolar paired to MFT's smaller sensor surface area means low-light reach is meaningfully lower than the same lens on full-frame.
