Fujifilm GFX (G-mount) sits at 26.7 mm — highlighted in orange below. The flange-distance gap between the mirrorless and SLR clusters is the room a mechanical adapter occupies; that gap is why almost every SLR lens adapts onto every mirrorless body, and why the reverse is mechanically impossible.

Common questions

Will Canon EF full-frame lenses cover the GFX 44×33 mm sensor?
Most don't — the GFX sensor's 55 mm image-circle diagonal exceeds most full-frame lenses' 43.3 mm coverage. The Fringer EF-GFX adapter mounts EF glass with AF, but most lenses vignette heavily outside the central crop. Tilt-shift EF lenses (Canon TS-E 17 mm f/4L, TS-E 24 mm f/3.5L II) and the Sigma 50 mm f/1.4 Art are the notable exceptions that cover most of the GFX frame.
Can I use Hasselblad V-system lenses on a GFX body?
Yes — V-to-GFX adapters (Fotodiox Pro, Mirex, Kipon) accept all C / CF / CFi / CFE Zeiss lenses for the Hasselblad 500-series. No electronic communication (Hasselblad V is fully mechanical), so aperture is set on the lens and focus is manual. Image circle covers GFX easily because Hasselblad V was designed for 6×6 cm film, far larger than GFX's 44×33 mm sensor.
How does GFX's flange depth compare to other medium-format systems?
At 26.7 mm, GFX has the shallowest flange of any medium-format mount — far shorter than Pentax 645 (~70 mm), Hasselblad V (74.9 mm), or Mamiya 645 (63.3 mm). The short flange is what enables compact GFX bodies (GFX 100 II, GFX 50S II, GFX 100S II) and what makes adapting legacy medium-format SLR glass onto GFX bodies almost universally feasible with a simple mechanical adapter.
