K&F Concept camera lens adapters

K&F Concept (founded 2011, Shenzhen) ships the largest catalog of purely-mechanical mount adapters on the market. The 'Pro' line uses a copper-inset bayonet (better mechanical fit, less wear from repeated mounting) and an anti-reflective matte-black interior — both noticeably better than the cheap commodity tier at this price point. No electronics, no AF, no firmware on any K&F adapter — they're mount-format converters for vintage manual-focus glass (M42, Nikon AI, Canon FD, Olympus OM, Pentax K, Leica M, Minolta MD, Contax/Yashica) onto modern mirrorless bodies. Reputation: reliable enough at $25-40 to be the default starter adapter for vintage-lens experimentation, backed by a published lifetime warranty Sony / Canon / Nikon don't offer at any price.

  • M42-EOS R Pro

    M42 Canon RF · 2020 · mechanical

    Pro-line M42 screw-mount onto Canon RF — Canon's 20 mm flange (vs Canon EF's 44 mm) leaves plenty of clearance for the adapter's body, and infinity calibrates cleanly on every R-line body (R5 / R6 / R6 II / R3 / R8 / R10 / R50 / R100).

  • M42-NZ

    M42 Nikon Z · 2019 · mechanical

M42 (Pentax / Praktica 42 mm screw) lenses onto Nikon Z. Mechanical ring — no AF, no electronics. Most M42 lenses use an Auto/Manual switch (set to M) or a rear stop-down pin the flat adapter clears, so the aperture ring controls the diaphragm.

  • Nikon F-NEX Pro

    Nikon F Sony E · 2019 · mechanical

    Pro-line Nikon F (AI / AI-S / AF-D / G-type) onto Sony E with a copper-inset bayonet and matte-black interior. Mechanical-only — no AF, no electronic aperture pass-through.

  • Pentax K-NEX Pro

    Pentax K Sony E · 2019 · mechanical

Pro-line Pentax K (K / KA / KAF — covering SMC Takumar bayonet, A-series with aperture, F / FA / DA AF lenses) onto Sony E. Mechanical-only; AF and electronic aperture are not passed through.

  • C/Y-NEX

    Contax Sony E · 2018 · mechanical

Contax/Yashica (C/Y) bayonet — Carl Zeiss T* Planar / Distagon / Sonnar / Tessar and the budget Yashica ML line — onto Sony E. Mechanical-only: no electronics, no AF, no aperture coupling; focus by hand, set aperture on the lens's own ring.

  • M42-NEX Pro

    M42 Sony E · 2018 · mechanical

Pro-line M42 (42 mm × 1 mm screw) onto Sony E with a copper-inset bayonet for tighter mechanical fit and an anti-reflective matte-black interior to suppress flare from bright legacy elements.

  • MD-NEX

    Minolta SR Sony E · 2016 · mechanical

Minolta SR / MC / MD (Rokkor) bayonet onto Sony E. Mechanical-only: no electronics, no AF, no aperture coupling — focus by hand and set aperture on the lens's own ring, which drives the diaphragm directly with no adapter actuator needed.

  • PK-NEX

    Pentax K Sony E · 2016 · mechanical

Pentax K bayonet (SMC Pentax K / M / A glass and SMC Takumar-K) onto Sony E. Mechanical-only ring — no AF, no electronic aperture. K and M lenses set aperture directly on the ring; A-series lenses must be turned off the green 'A' position so the ring controls the diaphragm.

Common questions

Do K&F Concept adapters preserve autofocus or aperture control?
No on both — every K&F adapter we track is purely mechanical with no electronics. The lens stays at whichever focus position you set on its ring, and aperture is controlled by the lens's own aperture ring (or by a built-in stop-down ring on the Nikon-F-to-mirrorless variants since G-type Nikkors lack an aperture ring). For AF / electronic-aperture EF / FE / Z lenses look at Sigma, Metabones, Viltrox, Commlite, or Megadap instead.
What's the difference between K&F's 'Pro' line and the cheaper non-Pro adapters?
The Pro line uses a copper-inset bayonet that fits tighter (less rotational play on the mounted lens, less flange-distance drift over years of remounting) and an anti-reflective matte-black interior coating that suppresses internal flare from bright legacy lenses. Non-Pro is aluminum throughout and skips the matte interior. Both calibrate to infinity correctly; the Pro line costs roughly 50% more and lasts noticeably longer with daily use.
Does K&F Concept honour its lifetime warranty?
Generally yes — K&F is one of the few low-cost makers with a published lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects (loose bayonet engagement, flange-distance drift). Claims route through their official store (kentfaith.com) with proof of purchase. The warranty doesn't cover cosmetic wear, customer-induced damage, or counterfeit units sold through unauthorised channels — verify your purchase source if you anticipate needing the warranty.
