- A motorised 4.5 mm tube physically extends and retracts the rear flange, shifting the entire lens's focus distance. The lens itself stays at the focus ring's set position; the adapter moves the lens bodily.

- Yes — Leica M, Voigtländer VM, Zeiss ZM, 7Artisans, TT Artisan — anything that mechanically couples. The lens doesn't need electronics or any special M-mount profile.
- How fast is the AF?
- Leisurely by design — fine for street, portrait, product, and landscape; not for sports or fast-moving subjects. The motor's 4.5 mm travel distance is the rate-limiting step.
